Bride-to-be Gena has been a loyal Swift fan since the very beginning. Over the years, the two have met several times and developed a friendship. Gena invited Swift to her wedding in May, but the singer had to turn her down — but vowed to attend the bridal shower. 

"Apparently, they told Taylor she didn't have time, and she said 'No, I'm going to Ohio. I can't make the wedding, and I promised her,'" Gena wrote on Twitter. "The driver told my dad she planned the trip at 1 a.m. and said 'I need to be there, and I need to be on time.'"
