Located a 30-minute drive from the Knoxville airport, this luxury inn focuses squarely on the food. Sure, the guest rooms and main house are elegant, and there’s a robust activity menu, but there’s no doubt that guests are here for the food. Tour the gardens, work the fields, shell seeds, harvest produce or catch a cooking demo or whiskey tasting; you can also hunt for truffles. Meals feel memorable — starting with a breakfast of cornmeal pudding with maple cheese — but the multi-course dinners are especially significant. (Yes, there’s a dress code). They start with cocktails, and the menu explains where all of the meats come from. Anything not noted? It’s most likely sourced from Blackberry’s own farms (room rates start at $945 a night; blackberryfarm.com).
