Tip of the Day: "Avoid overly dramatic and trendy makeup...you'll want to look like the prettiest and most 'special' version of yourself possible, not like a totally different person!" says Jennifer Trotter, a makeup artist and the owner of Lip Service Makeup.
She recommends looking at Pinterest boards, Instagram feeds of professional makeup artists, magazines, and even favorite photos of yourself to find inspiration. Consider your dress style, how you plan to wear your hair, your ceremony venue, time of day, and even how you want to feel (e.g. feminine, glamorous, natural) to determine what type of makeup will work for your bridal look.
"Consult with your artist to explain what you want, and be sure to book a trial run so you can ensure the look you've chosen will work," Trotter adds.
