Tip of the Day: "Full-figured brides, there are many fabrications and design details that will flatter and accentuate your silhouette," says Lori Conley, a senior merchant at David’s Bridal.

Gowns structured in satin are a great way to smooth your curves and lace offers surface texture, which helps to minimize certain areas. Lightweight fabrics such as chiffon and organza can be great as well if featured in the right design.

Search for gowns with princess seams to help define and highlight your curves. "Lace-up back gowns do wonders for hugging a bride in all the right places and can help her get a custom fit without the cost of alterations," Conley advises.
