Molly Sims and Scott Stuber's Wedding Favor

Actress/model Molly Sims and producer Scott Stuber tied the knot this weekend, and we've got the scoop on their wedding favor: Chic scented drawer tubes by French luxury brand Quintessence Paris that retail for $100 a box ($85 on OpenSky, a social shopping site where celebrities curate collections).

What do you think—if you had unlimited resources, what would you give your guests as a favor?

Wedding Budget Dilemma: We Can't Agree on Anything!

piggy banks

Last week, we learned how to speak to our fiancé about the wedding budget without bickering. Fortunately, Jason and I have been on the same page since day one: We both knew we wanted an evening reception in a ballroom surrounded by good food, music, family, and friends. In order to make that happen, we're willing to spend less on our cake, extras like accessories (bye bye, Louboutins), a band (we'll be having a DJ, instead), centerpieces, and so forth.

But what should brides do if they vehemently disagree about how much to spend on a specific aspect of their wedding, even after talking it out (nicely)? One of our Facebook fans asks, "My groom and I disagree about how much to spend on the wedding cake and my gown. How can we reach a compromise without killing each other in the process?"

We consulted with Farnoosh Torabi, a personal finance expert, nationally acclaimed author (including Psych Yourself Rich: Get the Mindset and Discipline You Need to Build Your Financial Life and The Newlywed's Guide to Taking Control of Your Wedding) and fellow bride-to-be.

Calling all DIY Brides: M&J Trimming Opens Bridal Salon!

M&J Trimming has been a staple in NYC’s Garment District for over 70 years. Now, with their first venture into the bridal world, M&J allows the bride to become the designer of her own wedding look!

When we arrived at M&J ’s flagship store, we were quite literally blinded by bling. The walls shimmered and sparkled with spools of Swarovski crystal, lace, ribbon, and tulle. Just when we thought we’d taken in all the gorgeousness we could handle, we entered the newly opened bridal salon at the back of the store. The room glistened with jewelry, belts, veils, and handbags.

Trend Alert: Group Trash-the-Dress Session!

Are you and your friends all getting married around the same time? Then you'll love this idea from SaySo Weddings in Australia. While several forum members were discussing trash the dress sessions, inspiration struck: Why not get a group together to make the shoot even more fun? Kelly Hody of SaySo Weddings ran with the idea and organized a full day event for a group of 14 newlyweds.

"A number of the participants knew each other before the shoot – many of them had first met on wedding forums like SaySo, before striking up real-life friendships," said Hody. "We also had some participants who heard about the event and registered with a friend. It was a really cool bunch of girls who weren’t afraid to be adventurous!"

The day started at Stamford Grand Hotel, where all of the brides were primped by hairstylist Karen Hedger of Complete Look Hair and Beauty and makeup by Lauren Parkinson. They also enjoyed a pancake breakfast and posed at the reception tables decorated by Bliss Events. DJ Trent Slater got the party started with some great tunes.
