22. Get exotic with your cocktail-party hors d'oeuvres, suggests Allen, who often derives inspiration from a couple's cultural heritage. Are you a Latina ? Serve spicy ceviche in shot glasses. Come from an Asian background? Dish up sushi or some veggie tempura.
23. "If you're a real foodie, hire the chef at your favorite restaurant to cater your wedding reception," suggests David. You can show off your great taste to your guests.
24. Foods that were popular during the 1950s—like rack of lamb, mashed potatoes and baked Alaska —are trendy once again. Include nostalgic dishes like these at your wedding feast as a nod to past generations (maybe your parents or grandparents served these dishes at their own weddings?), says David.
