Kelli and Dan headed south of the border for a coastal soirée bursting with vibrant colors and Mexican-themed details.
Kelli carried a bouquet of crimson, blush and plum ranunculus, yellow anemones and spray roses.
After a day of hiking along the Golden Gate Bridge, Dan surprised Kelli with an engagement ring hidden in their picnic basket on Baker Beach. The then-Google employees began planning their destination wedding. “We loved the idea of taking our family and friends on a coastal vacation,” Kelli said, “but we didn’t want a typical beach wedding.”
Kelli’s bridesmaids wore poppy-red dresses in varied silhouettes that beautifully paired with their richly hued bouquets.
Hand-painted, personalized maracas were distributed to family and friends at the ceremony to shake as the couple kissed.
The bride incorporated a few wedding flowers into her hairstyle, adding a pop of color to her bridal look.
With the help of Amy Abbott Events, the San Francisco-based couple hosted a five-day Mexican getaway in San Jose del Cabo, a historic beach town on the tip of the Baja California Peninsula known for its spectacular architecture and flavorful cuisine.
Lush blossoms in warm shades of crimson and marigold were displayed atop dinner tables.
Colorful Guatemalan and Mexican Huipil fabric made up each place setting’s napkin ring.
Guests’ names and table numbers were tied to individual mini bottles of Cholula hot sauce and Don Julio tequila.
