To New Yorkers Nicole Fields, a buyer, and Evan McCulty, a banker, the idea of marrying on a romantic old estate or on the grounds of an old Victorian home was alluring.
"It was so warm and inviting," Nicole says. "It was the only large estate we visited that felt cozy—a home we could call our own for the day."
A minister officiated as Nicole and Evan exchanged traditional vows and lit a unity candle to represent the merging of their families. The couple added a personal touch by reciting the things they cherished about one another.
The couple's first dance song was a surprise for the groom.
