After meeting on Hinge and discovering they shared mutual friends, the New York City couple fell in love over walks around Central Park’s pond, where Dane eventually proposed. The couple celebrated their wedding with a joyful Jewish celebration inspired by the beauty of the outdoors in the bride’s hometown, Detroit. Determined to bring a natural, effortless feel into a ballroom setting, the couple filled their day with lush greenery, mixed fall florals, rustic planters, and barn-style seating. A sunlit ceremony beneath a beautiful chuppah set the tone for the heartfelt celebration.
Flowers played a starring role throughout the design, with mismatched bouquets and bridesmaid dresses in earthy greens and browns creating an organic, gathered-from-the-garden aesthetic. The bride wore a romantic Mira Zwillinger gown adorned with delicate floral beading, while Dane added personality to his classic look with custom suspenders featuring his bride’s face hidden beneath his navy suede tuxedo jacket.
One of the couple’s most cherished moments was exchanging private vows during their first look, a quiet pause before the festivities began. Later, friends and family filled the dance floor for an unforgettable hora, complete with a jump rope finale that had everyone cheering. With meaningful traditions, thoughtful details, and a celebration centered on love and community, the day felt perfectly — and effortlessly — them.
