The Dilemma: If your guy is always saying, “Whatever you think, honey,” maybe he thinks his opinion has no weight. “Guys get excited when they feel they’re actually being heard,” says Craig Michaels, author of Thirty to Wife: The Tell-All Groom’s Guide to Weddings. Be sure to really take his comments into consideration, so he notices.
The Fix: Ignite some enthusiasm by coming up with a few out-of-the-box ideas for the wedding. “Getting married in a backyard or at a great restaurant — that sometimes resonates more with guys than the typical wedding venue,” says Michael Arnot, founder of GroomGroove.com. “If he’s in charge of the transportation, suggest he look at renting a BMW or antique car.”
