The Ring:
Every woman in America collectively sighed in unison when news broke out that Wills chose to pass down the late Princess Diana's ring to his betrothed. The vintage-inspired stunner is composed of a 12-carat oval-shaped sapphire flanked by 14 smaller diamonds. It was originally appraised at £28,500 (around $46,500) when it was bought by Prince Charles in 1981, but was later valued at £250,000 ($407,900). After Princess Di's untimely death, the ring was given to Prince Harry. In a true gesture of brotherly love, he in turn gave it to Will, claiming that it is more appropriate for him to give it to his fianceé. The blue bauble has inspired countless knockoffs, and it officially made colored gems in engagement stones a huge trend this past year.
