Sarah & Tom's Montauk wedding paid tribute to the couple's shared love of surfing.

The engagement ring was hidden under the seat of Tom's car for months, as he waited for the perfect opportunity to pop the question to Sara. It finally happened at a lobster dinner with their families, after a day spent on the waves. (Timing is everything when it comes to surfing.) The couple's passion for the sport lay at the heart of their vision for the big day — starting with the cliffside ceremony at Camp Hero Bluff overlooking Montauk’s Turtle Cove, AKA "Turtles," a surf spot beloved by locals and visitors alike.
Naturally beachy tones — sand, white, ocean and sky blue — prevailed, the décor bedecked with flowers throughout. And if the circular ceremony arch of roses wasn't enough, hanging above the head table was a surfboard draped in garlands of flowers and greenery, as were two lucky golden retrievers. The custom edible escort cards displayed on surfboards were actually chocolate-covered rice-krispie treats decorated to look like tins of surfboard wax. Lily-of-the-valley moments could be found on Sara's Monique Lhuillier gown and her beaded clutch, while elements of wicker and raffia underscored the beach vibe along with gilt-edged shell placecards. An epic day!
