Alexandra's bohemian-inspired bridal shower incorporated traditions from her cultural background.
By: Stefania SainatoTahni Candelaria Holm, a photographer and the maid of honor in her friend Alexandra’s wedding, had conflicted feelings about planning a bridal shower. "I have a strong dislike of gatherings of women. It hardly makes sense because it usually involves the sweetest of friends, but something about the overflow of estrogen usually leaves me cringing, so I knew it would be difficult to plan a bridal shower for my best friend that didn’t feel that way to me," she wrote in her blog.
The result? "In the end, it was unlike any other shower I have been a part of, and it felt like an artistic expression of myself and my love for my best friend. I loved it all!"
We also love all the heartfelt, unique details: a piñata nicknamed Pepito/Curtis, beautiful, homemade petit fours and a flower painting where guests were asked to write down their hopes and dreams for the couple.
