Tip of the Day: "Negotiate with your venue to see if you can extend your wedding to an hour or half-hour later with non-alcoholic drinks. This will allow more time for dancing or the family goodbyes," advises Annee Gillett, the director of catering at the three Kimpton properties in Alexandria, VA (monaco-alexandria.com, morrisonhouse.com, lorienhotelandspa.com).
She suggests having a fun hydration station with bottled waters, vitamin water, sweet and salty snacks, along with Advil or Tums for guests who need a bit of recovery. (Note: Most venues are not allowed to provide medicinal items but you may bring your own.)
