Kaiti and Garrett met during high school in Wichita, Kansas, but they didn't begin dating until a few years later, while Garrett was studying at West Point and Kaiti, now a law student at the University of Kansas, was interning in New York City.
Soon after Kaiti finished her final exams, Garrett took her on a vacation to Mexico, where he proposed on their private balcony overlooking the ocean. "It was incredibly romantic!" says Kaiti.
Garrett is currently deployed overseas, and the couple plans to tie the knot when he returns.
