Event designer Beth Helmstetter crafts a high-low mix of crystal, white blooms and homespun textiles for a look of easy elegance.
“Soft linens and burlap communicated a relaxed vibe, while chandeliers, draping and classic white flowers ensured a feeling of refined luxury,” Beth said. “We wanted to create a day that felt timeless and sophisticated but not stuffy. My overall goal is for our designs to appear effortless, but behind the scenes we obsess over every single detail," she added.
Letterpress invitations by Blue Magpie Design were tucked into burlap pockets, wrapped in ribbon and finished with a wax seal.
The bridal bouquet of full-blown white peonies was designed by Hollyflora, Los Angeles.
The burlap and silk aisle runner was flanked by benches covered in white linen. Tall floral arrangements punctuated the ceremony setting and lounge "vignettes" were set up throughout the grounds.
The cocktail hour was held in the venue’s pretty rose gardens.
The tables were dressed in burlap beneath raw-silk runners. Rows of chandeliers cast an elegant glow.
Classic white blooms — peonies, hydrangeas, roses and lilies — were displayed in silver and pressed-glass vessels. A burlap-backed menu atop a pewter charger rounded out the tablescape details.
A bottle of wine and a booklet of the bride’s favorite recipes served as a welcome gift for out-of-town guests.
The fondant cake was made by Vanilla Bake Shop in Los Angeles.
