After three years of dating, Manny decided it was time to finally pop the question. The soon-to-be groom asked his sister (a professional photographer) to stage a photoshoot for him and his future wife with a secret plan to propose. While photos were being taken, he got down on one knee and asked Cessie to marry him, and of course she said “Yes!”

The bride’s bouquet featured cascading orchids (her late grandfather’s favorite flower), tied with blue fabric from one of his shirts. This same fabric was sewn into the bride’s dress for her something blue. The bride’s engagement ring was purchased from the jewelry store her grandfather once worked in.

Guests were able to leave the couple handwritten well wishes.

The globetrotting couple originally considered a destination wedding, but ultimately decided on their hometown in Florida. “Both my fiancé and I are passionate about travel but chose to move the wedding to Miami,” said the bride. To play up the travel theme, the seating chart was set against a world map, with tables named for various cities and countries.

To coordinate with the seating chart, each table was named for a city or country.

Airplane bottle opener favors were placed at each guest's seat. "Our life has always been an adventure and I wanted our wedding to reflect that,” the bride said.

Guests were seated at long, family-style tables that allowed for easy conversation. Tall gold candelabras, blush and white sequin table cloths and pretty florals all contributed to the glamorous environment.

The couple upped the glam factor with golden candelabras, sparkling table covers and raised floral centerpieces.
