The couple’s save-the-date cards were vintage Cape Cod maps.

After dating for two and a half years, Peter knew that Alison was "the one" and set out to propose to her in a special and memorable way: While taking a leisurely walk together in New York City, they were stopped by a flash mob (planned by Peter), dancing to Hall & Oates’s “You Make My Dreams Come True,” one of Alison’s favorites. Peter joined in, ending the spectacle by asking Alison to be his wife.

The bride poses with her sister, Jenna, the matron of honor, her future sister-in-law, Stewart, and her niece, Maria Sofía, the flower girl.

Following a year-long engagement, the couple hosted their nuptials at the Wychmere Beach Club in Harwichport, Cape Cod. “Since it’s always been my favorite place in the world, it only seemed right to be married on the Cape,” said Alison. “We are pretty traditional, and wanted the day to have a classic feel.”

With a nod to Cape Cod’s coastal location, the couple peppered the reception area with seashells.

The guests were treated to passed hors d’oeuvres, artisan eld greens salad, seared let mignon, local swordfish steak and sweet pea ravioli. As Alison is a skilled baker, the guests were given hand-baked lemon elder flower sugar cookies in the shape of Cape Cod with a heart marking the spot where the two got married.

The pair selected a palette of blush pink, white, sage green and gold. With gold retro-inspired accents, long-stem floral arrangements and tall, clear candle holders that made the candles seem to float, an old-world, romantic vibe was set.

”It was a joyful and loving day,” said the couple, “fllled with laughter, dancing and celebration.”
