Liz and Sarah met through mutual friends in Denver, CO while Liz was in town for a Jason Mraz concert. The two immediately hit it off and, after dating for two years, Liz proposed to Sarah. Before a picnic in the park, Liz had glued the letters to spell out "Marry Me" on a Scrabble board (one of Sarah's favorite games). When Sarah pulled out the board to play a game, she discovered Liz's secret message.

Favorite memory: "Getting to spend the entire day together," said Liz. "We calm each other down, and I know we were both nervous about the day, so having Sarah by my side all day made me feel a little less nervous."

Liz and Sarah each had a maid of honor: Liz's best friend and cousin, Kristin, and Sarah's best friend, Sabrina. The brides chose similar bouquets filled with cream-colored hydrangeas, billy balls, and blue thistles. Kristin carried blue thistles to contrast her yellow dress, and Sabrina carried yellow billy balls to contrast her gray one.
