Monica Lauren Ferreira and Matthew Kevin Gimlett were introduced by mutual friends at a party in 2011 but didn't begin dating until their paths crossed nearly a year later. Shortly after that, they both took jobs that required each of them to travel full-time. Their long-distance relationship unfolded over FaceTime, and their globe-trotting romance took them everywhere from Florence to Milwaukee. Eventually, they both took new jobs — she's the strategy manager in the NFL's sponsorship department, and he's the director of corporate finance at FTI Consulting — and moved in together on the Upper West Side in New York City.

A classic black and white invitation by William Arthur set the tone for Monica and Matthew's formal affair.
Atelier Signore, an Italian designer based in Naples, designed Monica's wedding dress. It featured an illusion neckline and sleeves, a beaded bust, and a removable A-line silk skirt, complete with a full, long train. She found and purchased the dress at Kleinfeld.

Flowers by Brian created all of the breathtaking floral arrangements for Monica and Matt's big day, including her bouquet, which featured white Phalaenopsis Orchids. "I'm petite, so I didn't want to be dwarfed by a large or flowy bouquet. I asked for a more structured bouquet, and I absolutely loved the final result," the bride says.
Monica had a maid of honor (Samantha), and six bridesmaids (Rebecca, Rachel, Leanni, Alejandra, Meredith, and Jordyn) stand beside her on the big day.
Matt's side of the bridal party consisted of two best men (Patrick and Brian), and six groomsmen (Thomas, Blake, Derek, James, Kristofer, and Matthew).
