The lodge offered picture-perfect panoramic views of Lake Placid.
Set against the natural beauty of the Adirondack Mountains and surrounded by loved ones, Sean asked Tory to be his husband. During the ensuing two-year engagement, the pair searched for the perfect venue, ultimately choosing to hold their weekend wedding at the Whiteface Lodge, an iconic woodland resort nestled on the shores of Lake Placid. “We love the Adirondack region so much, it seemed fitting that this is where we would get married,” the couple said.
Camp-inspired goody bags were loaded with treats for the guests: Ladurée custom macarons, candles, popcorn, personalized patches and more. Enamel coffee mugs, a nod to the camping lifestyle, were also designed by Sean and given to guests as a pre-invite for the couple’s wedding weekend.
The grounds of the lodge were dressed in florals and classic Adirondack furnishings, with flower petals strewn along an aisle that led to an arch at the edge of the shimmering lake. Following their “I dos,” the couple set sail on the water, as guests were treated to sips and small bites, s’mores, cigars and a whiskey bar.

Upon arriving at the ceremony site, Tory and Sean's breaths were taken away by how beautifully it had been redesigned. Their vision for the big day had come to life and it was exactly how they had pictured it.
As a sentimental touch, Tory crafted notebooks to gift to guests as a nod to his father, an avid kayaker who often used pocket journals while out on the water.
Choosing to forgo a traditional wedding party, the grooms selected a handful of close girlfriends and sisters-in-law to be their bridesmaids.
The bridesmaids wore a variety of white dress styles.
