Tip of the Day: There are a few things you can do to ensure that your ring stays just as clean and dazzling as the day he bought it. As a precautionary measure, always take it off when you are applying lotion, hair products, or cleaning products around your home. All of the oils can cause a film to build up on your diamond. If you only have a few minutes to clean it before heading to a party or event, try swiping it with a lint-free cloth. If you have more time, you can soak your ring in a solution of dishwashing liquid and water for 30 minutes, then scrub out dirt gently with a soft brush. You may also want to visit your jeweler to see if you can get a professional cleaning for free, or ask about other cleaning methods that may work, depending on your setting.
