What are you known and loved for? What makes Sandals weddings stand out?

"We're known for creating beautiful destination weddings that capture the essence of the Caribbean in every detail, all while offering seamless planning that takes the stress away from couples so they can relax and truly enjoy the process. What sets our weddings apart is the unique blend of Caribbean charm in every celebration. Each wedding features a naturally stunning backdrop — vibrant flora, the crystal-clear blue waters, a sun-drenched sky — perfectly framing the beauty and love of each customdesigned event.

What would you like couples to know about planning a Sandals wedding?

"I would love couples to know that while there's often a stigma around wedding planning being stressful and overwhelming, it doesn't have to be that way. Our mission is to provide couples and their guests a truly stress-free wedding experience. How do we achieve this? We start by listening to our couples' vision for their dream wedding and then handle all the planning, coordination and execution. All they need to do is show up looking stunning and say 'I do' in paradise. We are so committed to this experience that we have a dedicated team in place to manage everything — from legal documentation to resort coordination — ensuring everything runs smoothly."

How far in advance should a couple begin planning a Sandals wedding?

"On average, couples book about a year in advance, although some may plan in a shorter time frame. Couples inviting friends and family typically allow more time to send out save-the-date notices, giving their loved ones ample time to prepare. For those looking to elope or have a quicker wedding, a 3- to 6-month planning window is more common. No matter the timeline, we're here to accommodate and guide couples through every step of the planning process."

What are some of your favorite ceremony settings across the Sandals portfolio?

"My absolute favorite is our Overwater Chapels — everything couples could ever dream of. As they glide down the glasspaneled aisle, it looks as if they were walking on water. We offer these stunning chapels in Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and the Bahamas. For couples seeking a more intimate ceremony, we also have breathtaking locations set against tropical landscapes. And I can't forget our beach ceremonies, set on pristine white sand with the azure waters as the perfect backdrop — truly the epitome of a wedding in paradise."

You've been at Sandals 28 years, and clearly love what you do. Explain.

"Oh my goodness, my heart truly dances when I'm asked why I love weddings. There's something magical about being part of a day where love is so palpable and joy fills the air. When you know a couple has been dreaming of this moment for years and you get to share in that day — whether through planning it or being a guest — that, for me, is the ultimate experience. Weddings hold so much meaning for me because I absolutely LOVE love! The beauty and power behind the symbolism of two people becoming one is so special. It's a moment that stays with me, etched in both my mind and my heart."

Kindest words and favorite moments shared with your couples?

"The best moments are when we see their jaws drop as they walk into the wedding space — that's what truly fuels us. Another compliment that means the world is when our couples return to celebrate their anniversary with us — it means we've created something truly special for them."

Trends & Traditions

"The tradition of cake cutting is such a meaningful moment — it marks the first symbolic exchange as a couple. There's something so special about this moment, and sharing it brings so much joy and excitement."

"I always encourage couples to go all out with photography and videography so they can relive the special moments shared with their loved ones. Many people regret not investing in these memories, and in the end, they become the lasting legacy of the day."

"A growing trend we are seeing is the multi-day wedding experience, which includes a destination tour or excursion. Family and friends can create even more memories together, making the wedding not just an event, but an unforgettable experience."
