From interesting necklines to bold floral moments, designers incorporated new fabrics, creative colors, and unique techniques we've never seen before. If you're getting married in 2024, these are the trends that should be on your radar.
Crescent Neckline
Whether you call it a "crescent" or an "inverted scoop," this new neckline treatment caught our eye at our very first show and continued to pop up throughout fashion week. More feminine than straight-across-strapless, and more interesting than a traditional scoop neck, the crescent neckline is a romantic trend with real staying power.
Dropped Waist
A dropped waist wedding gown shows off your curves and offers a vintage vibe, as the style first became popular in the 1920s. The waist sits a bit lower than your natural waist, hugging your hips and giving the iIlusion of a longer torso. If you're a retro bride, this trend is for you.
Statement Shoulders
Puff sleeves have been popular for the last few years, but this season we saw a resurgence of '80s-style statement shoulders. And for good reason — the volume and structure of these sleeves create the illusion of a smaller waist and flatter all body types.
Something Blue (and Green)
Soft blues and subtle greens ruled the bridal runways this season. These sweet pastels are a fresh take on the blush hues we've seen in the past. From pretty printed details to colorful underlays, these dreamy gowns may have you rethinking traditional wedding white.
Romantic Rosettes
Be still, our '90s hearts. Pretty rosette details adorned this season's dresses — from skirts made entirely of organza florals to sweet, small blooms made of silk. No matter the size or fabric, this romantic detail adds dimension, texture, and the perfect dose of nostalgia.
Mini Magic
Not into a traditional gown or looking for short dress for your reception? Bridal minis are back, and it's clear they're here to stay. They're easy to dance in, show off a great pair of shoes, and are undoubtedly fun. This season's short dresses aren't simply party dresses — they're chic, stylish and, yes, still very bridal.
