Event designer Amanda Novena takes city style to the next level in a penthouse perched atop a New York City hotel.
-AS SEEN IN BRIDAL GUIDE MAGAZINE-
"Our mission was to take this beautiful historic venue and add to it a feminine flare," Amanda says. Using a light touch, "we enhanced the spaces with bright white and flashes of green for the ceremony and cocktail hour and pops of rich color throughout the reception."
"We chose our venue, The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel, for its historic architecture that provides a new experience at every turn,” says Amanda. Could there be anything chicer than a New York City penthouse? We think not.
Place settings alive with texture played a big part in the overall design.

Amanda and team created two distinct color palettes. Here, lush florals in a riot of pinks by @qgfloral are barely contained by their vessels.
Meanwhile, cool, classic whites and greens enliven the ceremony space on the rooftop’s East Terrace
The bar beckons.
The green and white palette carried through to the bride’s bouquet (and Monique Lhuillier gown).

Escort cards were designed to echo the colors and style of the invitation suite.
