Steven Spielberg's blockbuster hit takes center-aisle in Courtney and Bill’s roaring nuptials.
By: Emily GoldmanThroughout Courtney and Bill’s relationship, "Jurassic Park," which focuses on a select group of attendees chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA, has always been a go-to movie for the pair. The two started to make “dinosaur dates,” and go to different dinosaur-themed exhibits and of course the two newer films: "Jurassic World," and "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom."
From an authentic-looking “Jurassic Park” car, to dinosaur décor, these ideas are (Tricera)tops!
Sorry, we had to.
Getting Ready
The bridal party wore "Jurassic Park" t-shirts to get ready, while Courtney wore a leaf-themed getting-ready robe over hers.
Even Courtney's gorgeous Hayley Paige gown felt magical and fit the other-worldy vibe of the picture-perfect wedding.
The groomsmen wore "Jurassic Park" socks.
Ceremony
The outdoor setting, where Courtney works as an event manager honing her wedding planning skills, transformed into the ultimate "Jurassic Park" venue.
Even Courtney's vows offered a nod to the major motion picture.
The pair walked down the aisle to the "Jurassic Park" theme song.
Courtney chose greenery to emulate the rustic, outdoorsy-island vibe of the film. She DIY’d the florals, which included an array of greenery: Italian ruscus, salal stems, Israeli ruscus, pittosporum stems, and tree ferns.
Courtney added some hanging amaranthus and a few air plants to add bulk to the bouquet.
The ring bearer got a special ride on a Triceratops.
Reception
The color palette and green uplighting perfectly reflect "Jurassic Park" in a subtle, elevated way.
There were small gold dinosaurs on each place setting and the escort cards doubled as favors. Courtney and Bill had actual VIP IDs printed with each guests name.
The wedding cake was reminiscent of the film's color scheme.
The place settings featured small golden dinosaurs, large leaves, and a "Jurassic Park" themed menu.
The sweetheart table displayed more dinosaurs, and an abundance of greenery and exposed lights.
There was even a real T-Rex appearance on the dance floor!
Courtney’s dream car has always been a Jeep Wrangler, so she thought it would be fun to recreate the "Jurassic Park"Jeep for the wedding.
