Solange Knowles' Wedding is a Must-See — She Wore a Cape!

Solange Knowles may have kept her engagement hush-hush, but her wedding was a full-blown family affair! The 28-year-old singer-songwriter married 51-year-old video director Alan Ferguson at Holy Trinity Church in New Orleans on November 16 with 100 loved ones in attendance, including big sis Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Blue Ivy.

In a whimsical touch, the newlyweds arrived at the NOLA celebration on matching bicycles decorated with cream roses. How adorable is that? Ever the trendsetter, the bride rocked a cream pantsuit by Stephane Rolland, which featured a plunging neckline, as well as a cape (one of the biggest trends from the bridal runways this season).

For her walk down the aisle to Donny Hathaway’s “I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry," she changed into a caped gown designed by Humberto Leon for Kenzo. Her dapper groom wore a complementary white Lanvin tux. (All of the guests sported white outfits as well.)

Vanity Fair reports that the couple kicked off the wedding festivities with a screening of the '70s film Mahogany, starring Diana Ross. It has sentimental value to them: They watched it on their first date.

In an interview with Vogue, the bride reveals that “Everyone I worked with on the wedding are friends who I love. Everything was a labor of love.” She commissioned photographer Rog Walker to do the honors of capturing her big day.

Everyone let loose at the Marigny Opera House reception, with musical performances by Kelela, Questlove, and Kindness. There was even a dance-off between the bride and her 10-year-old son, Daniel Julez, to "No Flex Zone" by Rae Sremmurd! Now that's what we call a party.

Rumors began swirling that Solange was about to become a Mrs. after she posted a photo of her and her beau on Jamaica on her birthday with the caption, "Today couldn't have been more perfect. I couldn't have smiled harder. Thank you for all of your lovely and wonderful wishes. They warmed my heart and I simply feel grateful for all of the love."

Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!
