Jenny McCarthy just announced some very special news on The View: She and boyfriend Donnie Wahlberg are engaged to be married!
Her reaction was ecstatic, to say the least — she sprung out of her seat and ran laps around the studio while embracing her shocked cohosts! Once the excitement died down long enough for her to speak, the comedienne, 41, showed off the enormous yellow sapphire that was gifted to her by the 44-year-old Blue Bloods star:

The proposal was just as incredible, with Wahlberg enlisting the help of Evan Asher, Jenny McCarthy's 11-year-old son:
"This weekend I was sitting with Donnie and he went into the other room and out came Evan with a card that said 'Will.' And he ran away and came back with a card that said 'You,' and I knew what was happening and I just started crying. And then he came out with a card that said 'Marry,' but it was spelled 'Mary,' and the last time Donnie came out with Evan and Evan's shirt said 'Me?' and he was holding the ring. He asked, 'Will you marry me?' I of course said yes. And in that moment, Evan yelled, 'I have another dad! I have another dad.' And it was just—it made all of us cry," she said, getting emotional. "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. He's so wonderful."
Barbara Walters was so touched that she offered to have the lovebirds get married in her New York City apartment. She joked that they'd have to take the action elsewhere on the wedding night, however.
During an interview with Bethenny Frankel in November, McCarthy revealed that she made the first move and slipped Wahlberg her number when he appeared as a guest on her canceled talk show on VH1. Despite vowing "Never will I ever get married again ever," she had a change of heart once they began dating. "I think he would be an amazing husband. So if he does, I would for sure say yes. I wouldn't be surprised if I was the one proposing," she added.
This will be the second trip down the aisle for both McCarthy (she was previously married to actor/director John Mallory Asher) and Wahlberg (he was previously married to Kim Fey).
The future spouses are thinking of getting married in August — just one month after Wahlberg is slated to celebrate the 30th anniversary of New Kids on the Block.
Congratulations to the happy couple! Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
