Neenel incorporated her love for sewing into an unforgettable bridal shower celebration.

Sewing has always been a part of Neenel's life — her mom would sew dresses and Halloween costumes for her as a young girl. She and her sister learned the basics at an early age, and they became "This crafty, hands-on kind of family...the theme seemed to stick well!" she says.

Her favorite detail: A dress form mannequin served as a "guest book." Loved ones wrote special messages for the happy newlyweds-to-be onto blank quilt squares and pinned them to the mannequin. "Shortly after the wedding, my mom and I sewed the squares together to create a quilt filled with everyone's well wishes," the bride says. Even Todd, her now-husband, was blown away by the level of detail that went into the beautiful affair.

The fun and free-spirited bunch enjoyed a lot of laughs throughout the festivities, including a competition where each guest table had to decorate an apron using a sewing kit and items such as buttons, flowers and ribbon. The guest of honor's grandma even tried to take her bra off during the scavenger hunt!

However, the most memorable moment was when Neenel's usually-reserved mom got emotional during her toast. "I was so caught up with planning the wedding and building my new home that I didn't fully realize how life was going to change and how much I was going to miss not seeing her every day...I just felt so lucky to have such an amazing person in my life," she says.
