An at-home setting is the sophisticated back-drop for this intimate wedding shower.
Modern yet cozy. That was the thinking behind this glamorous take on a traditional bridal shower, produced by the creative forces at Sterling Social and Dolce Designs Studio in Los Angeles. Here, a white lacquer table is offset with charcoal suede chairs and a rustic wood bench, and topped with a custom runner and masses of lush blooms.
Just because there’s a dessert table loaded with sugary confections doesn’t mean the event decor can’t be super sleek and sophisticated.
A cozy, cushioned nook is the perfect spot for a sip of pre-dinner champagne. Standing at attention: a stunning lineup of silver and white sweet treats by Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach.
Earl Grey-flavored French macarons on sticks are displayed in lacquer trays filled with crushed glass. Decadent, delicious vanilla bean cheese-cake bites and white macarons dusted with silver luster are served on “We Gather Together” plates from palomasnest.com.
Each place setting featured a personalized menu on glass.
“The design watchwords at play here were contrast and texture. To wit: hard-edged elements such as white lacquer, glass and chrome combined with softer, feminine touches like suede, linen and faux fur."
Sleek chrome vessels hold oversized, painted suede flowers and lush low arrangements of pure white blooms by dolce designs. A chrome and glass bar cart displays decanters and glassware.
