This seaside community has resorts ripe for a wedding away.
The Chanler at Cliff Walk
The Chanler, originally built as a summer home (err, mansion) in 1865 for a New York Congressman, is a magificient cliff-side estate to get married. Intimate ceremonies can be held indoors on the Veranda, formerly the mansion’s sunroom, which has panoramic ocean views, or opt for a quiet affair at the award-winning Spiced Pear restaurant, where a wall of windows opens onto amazing views of Easton’s Beach. Brides who prefer to wed outside can opt for a ceremony on one of the hotel's three lawns perched just above the Cliff Walk. There's also the option of holding your reception in a custom-built tent on the lawns of the lush Japanese garden. And in the they’ve-thought-of-everything category, the Chanler even offers an elopement package that includes accommodations, ceremony, a bouquet and boutonniere, dinner for two, complete with wedding cake and next-day breakfast. Each of the 20 rooms in the hotel offers a different theme to make your stay even more special, with gas fireplaces, Jacuzzi, skylights and private decks.
Rates: $4000 for the wedding package. Visit thechanler.com for more information.
