Tell me about your work with Palladium Resorts—what is the program you've created?
I am so excited to be working with Palladium to launch my new line of Karen Bussen/Simple Stunning Weddings at the Grand Palladium, just outside Montego Bay in Jamaica.  The setting is gorgeous, with villas set right on the water, and I love the fact that this elegant resort is all-inclusive.  I’ve designed five beautiful, budget-friendly wedding packages, all centered around theme and mood, each with its own personalizable color palette. I wanted brides to have their choice of my designs AND the ability to make the details their own.  I’ve also created a whole menu of options and upgrades that brides can add or mix and match, including in-suite services, welcome bags for guests, and pretty bridesmaid accessories like parasols and fans. The packages include my ocean-inspired “Waves of Love” design, my luxe “Island Pearl” concept in white or pink, and the vibrant “Tropical Promise” wedding, which celebrates the bold flowers and colors of the Caribbean. I even designed a Vow Renewal celebration called “Renewing Romance” which is great for couples who want to celebrate their love all over again.

Do you honeymoon after a destination fete? if so, same location or brand new?
Yes, you absolutely honeymoon after your destination fete!  Whether you choose to stay and turn it into an extended friends-and-family vacation or whether you take off for a more private setting, you should definitely take time after the celebration to celebrate each other. Even if you do stay with the group, make sure to schedule lots of private time for just the two of you. Dinner on the beach, a secluded bungalow off the beaten path, or a leisurely breakfast in bed—make sure to take the opportunity to enjoy each other and this special time.  For Palladium, I designed several fun options for honeymooners, including Sunset Wine and Cheese for Two, which you can enjoy privately at the Garden Gazebo or oceanside under our gorgeous Promise Pergola on the beach.
