The 86th annual Academy Awards kicks off this Sunday and we’re looking forward to scoping out the evening’s glitziest looks and OMG-worthy moments: Which film will nab Best Picture? Who might get their Meryl Streep moment? Since Ellen DeGeneres is hosting, will we actually stay up until midnight this year?
Now, thanks to travel website Trivago.com, brides have another reason to get excited for the pinnacle of awards season — they’ve put together a list of hotels where a few of the movie contenders were filmed, and they’re perfect for stateside honeymoons.

Famous scene: Con artist Irving (played by Christian Bale) and his partner-in-crime, Sydney (played by Amy Adams), celebrate their victory in the hotel lobby of the Fairmont Copley Plaza. As a nod to the film, the hotel is offering the Ultimate Oscar Party Package on the night of the awards, which includes hors d’oeuvres, a champagne bar, red carpet bingo, Oscar ballots and (what else?) popcorn.
Why it’s honeymoon-worthy: The Fairmont Copley Plaza is located in Boston’s historic Back Bay, just steps away from historic sites and boutiques. The hotel is home to The OAK Long Bar + Kitchen, which features a decadent farm to table menu (lobster mac and cheese, anyone?) and handcrafted cocktails.

Famous scene: In the film, Solomon Northup (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor) is a free man who is kidnapped and sold into slavery; the kidnapping reportedly takes place in Washington, D.C., but it was actually filmed in New Orleans at the Columns Hotel on St. Charles Ave.
Why it's honeymoon-worthy: This storied property has a rich history – it was built in 1883 and it originally served as the home of the largest cigar manufacturer in the U.S. – but it wasn’t until 1980 that it was transformed into a stunning New Orleans hotel. From its lush gardens to the ornate Victorian lounge and stained glass skylights, it's the ideal place to repose after exploring the Big Easy.
Saving Mr. Banks

Featured hotel: The Langham Pasadena (Pasadena, CA)

Famous scene: P.L. Travers (played by Emma Thompson), the Australian-British author who penned Mary Poppins, meets to negotiate with Walt Disney (played by Tom Hanks) over the book's film rights in this award-winning film. Although it's purported that she's staying at the Beverly Hills hotel in the movie, most of the filming actually took place at the Langham Huntington Pasadena.
Why it's honeymoon-worthy: Located just nine miles away from Los Angeles, the Langham property features a picturesque view of the San Gabriel Mountains. This peaceful retreat transports honeymooners right back to the forties.

Famous scene: Jordan (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and Naomi's (played by Margot Robbie) proposal wasn't taped exactly at the Four Seasons hotel, but it was filmed just five blocks away as its namesake restaurant, so technically that counts, right?
Why it's honeymoon-worthy: Jaw-dropping views of the New York city skyline and Central Park, being pampered like stars in the hotel spa's steam bath, sauna, or jacuzzi; world-class service...need we say more?
Bonus: The Great Gatsby

Featured hotel: The Plaza Hotel (New York, NY)

Famous scene: All of the filming for this flick took place in Australia, but the Fitzgeralds were patrons at this treasured New York City establishment. In fact, the scene where Tom (played by Joel Edgerton) confronts Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) about his relationship with Daisy (played by Carey Mulligan) was inspired by The Plaza.
Why it's honeymoon-worthy: Gatsby and discerning honeymooners alike would approve of the Jazz Era-style Sunday brunch hosted here. (Order the champagne cocktail that pays homage to the book and film!) For an ultra-splurge, consider the decked-out Fitzgerald Suite.
