Surprise! Scarlett Johansson Got Married in Montana

Scarlett Johansson is the latest celeb to pull off a secret wedding! A county clerk confirmed to ABC News that the 30-year-old Under the Skin actress married journalist Romain Dauriac, 32, on October 1st — just one month after welcoming their daughter Rose into the world. "They were nice people," she said of the couple. "I thought Scarlett was very personable. A very sweet personality."

Although we predicted that Mr. and Mrs. Dauriac would tie the knot in the groom's native Paris, they chose a more remote location away from prying paparazzi: Philipsburg, Montana. Their ceremony took place at The Ranch at Rock Creek, a luxe all-inclusive property with picturesque views of the John Long Mountains. Accommodations include activities such as horseback riding, fly fishing, archery, paintball and more. Actress Kate Bosworth and director Michael Polish also had their wedding there back in 2013.

Johansson was first spotted wearing her Art Deco engagement ring at the September 2013 Venice Film Festival. During a TV appearance with Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show, the über-private star opened up that "It's lovely to be engaged. It's a nice romantic time." The only downside? "My French is terrible," she confessed.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, she elaborated that their relationship works because "We do different things. He’s in the whole art-scene world. So it’s nice, because we can enjoy each other’s worlds, but we don’t have our crazy conflicting schedules and all that other stuff to contend with."

Johansson was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds for two years before their 2010 split. She tells Glamour that after her divorce, "I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship. And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. That's not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life."

Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!
