Lance Bass and Michael Turchin tied the knot over the weekend! The festivities were taped for an E! special, Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding, which will air on February 5th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The 35-year-old performer/author and his longtime love, 27, were married at the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California on December 20th. The grooms asked close friends (and actresses) Jamie-Lynn Sigler and JoAnna Garcia Swisher to do the honors of officiating. Although the ceremony was non-denominational, they were married under a chuppah and broke a glass at the end of the ceremony, in accordance with Turchin's Jewish background. In another personal touch, the couple's three dogs were escorted down the aisle by models (seriously!).
Their wedding included moving performances by Kelly Price (who sang "I Am"), JC Chasez (who sang the first dance song), and Bass' niece (who performed "This I Promise You"). Fellow 'N Sync band members Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick also celebrated the couple's big day; Justin Timberlake was unable to attend because he was on tour.
E! Online reports that other famous faces in attendance included The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump, Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean, Christina Applegate, Gabourey Sidibe and Carmen Electra. The couple had a 350-person guest list.
Sharon Sacks, the same planner behind Kimye's wedding extravaganza, brought Bass and Turchin's dream wedding to life. They opted for vibrant pops of color in everything from their outfits to the floral arrangements to the lighting. In an exclusive interview with People, Turchin reveals "We wanted it to be a little dark and sexier than a traditional white, flowery wedding."
The grooms custom-designed two sets of tuxedos with Jeff Kim and Josh Yunger for the special occasion. They wore traditional black tuxedos with a hint of navy before switching to colorful velvet tuxedos for the reception. The reception décor featured vibrant red and purple flowers, and red, purple and blue lighting.
The wedding menu included moonshine cocktails (highlighting Bass' Southern background), a seven-tier cake from The Butter End Cakery, and sweets from Steve's Ice Cream and Dylan's Candy Bar.
The couple dated for four years before walking down the aisle — Bass proposed to Turchin in New Orleans in late August 2013.
Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!
