Arrivederci, Italia! Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have reportedly changed their minds about hosting their wedding in Capri, opting instead to hold the celebration closer to home in Los Angeles.

Although Capri is a meaningful spot for the couple — it was one of the first trips they took together — they realized it'd be "too much" to ask friends and family to fly to Europe for their wedding. A source revealed to Us Weekly that the couple decided a wedding in California will be "easier to plan" and "less expensive."

We're sure plenty of brides-to-be can relate; although there's something so romantic about whisking away to a foreign country to exchange vows, it can become a logistical nightmare if you don't have the right resources — there's a whole separate wedding-planning timeline to follow and so many more details you need to worry about. Planning from afar can feel downright impossible when you can't jet off to the country any time you want to meet with wedding vendors; you generally need to rely heavily on a wedding planner, which isn't for everyone. "Semi-destis" have become more common — holding your wedding a few hours away from home, where you can get the feel of the destination wedding without requiring a plane ride. With so many gorgeous spots to marry in Southern California, we're sure the couple will have no problem finding a romantic spot to suit their needs!
