One month has passed since George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin tied the knot in Venice but the wedding festivities continue! On October 25th, the 53-year-old actor/director and 36-year-old human rights attorney were fêted in a post-wedding event hosted by the bride's parents at the Danesfield House Hotel and Spa in England.

The historic Buckinghamshire property boasts 65 acres of gardens with views over the River Thames. Their Italian nuptials were a star-studded affair, but this time, the guest list was even larger. Two hundred relatives and friends attended the bash, including Amal's family members from Lebanon and her coworkers from Doughty Street Chambers.

People reports that Clooney's father-in-law welcomed everyone with a touching speech. Afterwards, the groom quipped that "Being Irish, I'm used to large families but this is the first time in my life I've seen a family as big as this one." He also personally introduced himself to each table and even poured wine into everyone's glasses when they were empty!

Although there were no gondolas this time, the low-key event didn't lack for glamour: guests arrived via a hedge-lined path that lead to an orchid-covered doorway. The revelry began in the hotel's main hall and then moved to a large tent, which featured leafy centerpieces, potted trees and quirky ceramic cockatoos. (Who would have guessed that their style was shabby-chic?) In another personal touch, they served his-and-hers signature drinks. The groom's cocktail consisted of tequila, citron vodka, lime juice and ginger ale while the bride opted for vanilla vodka, passion fruit liqueur and lime juice.

The event came after a mini-moon at the couple's new British estate, and numerous work commitments (Clooney is promoting his new movie, Tomorrowland, and Alamuddin traveled to Greece recently for a work trip).

Tell us, destination brides: Are you hosting a post-wedding party for guests who couldn't attend your nuptials?
