Backstreet Boy Nick Carter is Engaged!

Backstreet's back—and ready to walk down the aisle! Nick Carter, the youngest member of the hit boy band, is engaged to be married to Lauren Kitt, a fitness expert and actress. People magazine confirms that the '90s heartthrob, 33, proposed to his girlfriend of four years, 29, on what he refers to as "Engagement Island," an undisclosed location in the Florida Keys. (Explore your own little slice of paradise in the Florida Keys at Little Palm Island!)

Despite technical difficulties—it took Carter five days to get his boat in working condition and the engine stalled a few times—the "As Long As You Love Me" crooner managed to get down on one knee and ask those four pivotal words.

"She said, 'Yes,' and I'm, like, 'I don't know what to do," Carter told People. "She said, 'You're supposed to put it [the ring] on my finger.' So I did. I was in shock."

The tongue-tied singer picked out a seven-carat ring from XIV KARATS that was equally spellbinding. (Fun fact: He carried it around for two weeks in his pocket before proposing.) His shocked fianceé is "on cloud nine," but before they can tie the knot, they're going to have to check the band's promotional schedule. The Backstreet Boys' newest album is slated to be released this spring to coincide with their 20th anniversary. Carter is the last of "the boys" (Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, A.J. McLean, Kevin Richardson) to get married.

Nick, you promised to never break our heart, but we'll just have to find it within ourselves to forgive you! Congratulations to the happy couple.
