Spotlight Collection: Royal Copenhagen

Founded in 1775 under the patronage of Queen Juliane Marie of Denmark, Royal Copenhagen has epitomized an up-to-date, quality-conscious lifestyle for over 240 years.

With origins in hand-painted design, Royal Copenhagen is one of the most luxurious and desired porcelain brands in the world, renowned for its strong history, quality products for everyday use and unique heritage of design and craftsmanship.

Every piece of Royal Copenhagen is unique, with each item passed through a design team of about 30 people; all pieces are finished with a unique back stamp approving their quality and originality. Each hand-painted object requires more than 780 brush strokes and is signed like a Royal seal, the symbol of fine tradition and superb craftsmanship.

The distinctive Blue Fluted Plain pattern was the first produced by Royal Copenhagen and is considered synonymous with Danish porcelain by connoisseurs worldwide. It has become a fundamental part of Denmark’s cultural heritage, and has been reinterpreted, refined and recreated resulting in newer patterns such as Blue Fluted Half and Full Lace, Blue Fluted Mega, and Elements.
